Organic Turmeric & Ginger Capsules | The Flames Below
Beneath the Green, Something Burns
Above ground, everything appears calm.
Broad tropical leaves rise through warm air.
Rain gathers on green foliage.
The earth is dark, damp and quiet.
But beneath the surface, another landscape is growing.
Golden Ginger twists through the soil.
Deep orange Turmeric spreads nearby.
Two ancient botanicals growing underground, hidden from view until the earth is opened and their remarkable colours are revealed.
The Flames Below brings these two distinctive rhizomes together in one simple, equal ratio botanical blend.
Inside each capsule is Organic Turmeric Root Powder and Organic Ginger Root Powder, finely milled and combined in equal proportions.
Two botanicals above the earth. Two brilliant rhizomes below it.
Two Plants from the Same Botanical Family
Turmeric and Ginger have more in common than their familiar place amongst the world's spices.
Both are members of the same botanical family, Zingiberaceae.
Both grow as leafy plants above ground while producing the familiar rhizomes beneath the soil.
And both have travelled far beyond the tropical regions where their cultivation has deep historical roots.
Yet they remain unmistakably different.
Turmeric reveals an extraordinary orange colour when its rhizome is opened.
Ginger is paler, aromatic and characteristically pungent.
One brings colour.
The other brings bite.
Together they become The Flames Below.
Where the Colour Is Hidden
Walk through a field of Turmeric or Ginger and much of the real story remains invisible.
The leaves rise above the ground.
The rhizomes develop beneath it.
Only at harvest does the hidden landscape emerge.
Soil is moved aside.
Clusters of Ginger appear.
Turmeric is lifted from the earth.
And suddenly the muted colours of the field give way to pale gold and brilliant orange.
That contrast became the inspiration for this blend.
Green above. Gold and amber below.

Enter The Flames Below
Rain falls across a tropical landscape.
Drops gather on broad leaves and disappear into the soil.
Above ground, the plants sway gently beneath the passing weather.
Nothing suggests fire.
Nothing appears particularly dramatic.
Then the earth opens.
Beneath the green landscape is an entirely different world.
Ginger rhizomes twist through dark soil like pale golden pathways.
Nearby, Turmeric burns orange against the earth.
They cross.
Separate.
Turn.
And continue deeper beneath the plants above.
There are no flames here.
Only colour.
Warmth.
Earth.
And two remarkable botanicals growing where they cannot be seen.
The fire was never above the ground.
It was always below.

The Hidden Heat.
But beneath the surface, their stories have always had something in common.
Both emerge from tropical landscapes.
Both belong to the same botanical family.
Both hide their most recognisable forms beneath the soil.
And both have travelled from ancient cultivation traditions into kitchens around the world.
The Flames Below is where those stories finally meet.
Not as a complicated formula.
Not as one ingredient added in token quantities behind another.
But as equals.
Half Turmeric. Half Ginger.
